With 2.8 million euros invested, a new Virši service station opened in Berģi

Today, 11 October, energy commodities trader and convenience store network AS VIRŠI-A (‘Virši’) opened a new service station in Berģi (Brīvības gatve 481, Garkalne Parish, Ropaži Municipality). Investing 2.8 million euros in the construction of the facility, the Company landscaped an area of 6,345 m2 and created a convenient place for refuelling and taking a break for those driving to Riga from Sigulda.

Virši Berģi is a full service location with a store area of almost 200 m2, a comfortable recreational area for visitors, a wide-ranging offering of food, beverages and car accessories, as well as ample parking, which can comfortably accommodate 18 cars and 20 trucks.

“At the beginning of next year, Virši will celebrate its 30th anniversary. In anticipation of this notable milestone, the Company is making significant investments this year in expanding its sales network. The Berģi service station is already the eighth new point of sale opened this year and we are certain that our customers will appreciate it for its convenient location, spaciousness and diverse range of products and services. We are currently working on the construction of two more new locations in Riga and Pierīga, which we are planning to open in November,” emphasizes Jānis Viba, Virši Chairman of the Management Board.

The new facility is the 80th service station in the Virši network. It will be open around the clock and will offer automatic refuelling options with the most popular options (95 and 98 petrol, diesel, Adblue, LPG), windscreen washer fluid dispenser and electric car charging. The facility has one 160 kW CCS plug and 40 kW CCS or CHAdeMO plug, providing the possibility to charge two electric cars at the same time. The total charging power is 200 kW, with up to 160 kW available for one car at a time.

To promote sustainable development, solar panels have been installed on the roof of the store, which convert solar energy into electricity, providing the necessary energy for the needs of the station.
